The Squirrel Creek Cabin is located in a secluded pasture, surrounded by woods on a working Ranch. While we work very hard to keep the cabin clean it’s possible during unusually warm weather in the winter and thaws and rain in the spring, a bug might sneak in. (IE: Spider, lady bug, ant, or even a bee). Webs can be spun in under an hour by a small house spider. None of these bugs are harmful and guests are welcome to remove them via broom, paper towel, or spray with non-toxic essential oils if something has snuck in.

Additionally, there are conservation lands around the cabin that hosts wildlife such as black bear, coyotes, foxes, turkeys, skunks, muskrats, beavers, bobcats, deer, raccoons, squirrels, moles, and others. Most of these wildlife are never seen and they keep to the woods but an occasional spotting is possible. If you are squeamish about wildlife or an occasional bug, this may be worth considering before your booking!
